Preserving History: Loveridge Painting Restores the Exterior of a 134-Year-Old Community Landmark

At Loveridge Painting, we take great pride in our craft, but there’s something truly special about working on a project that’s not just a building, but a piece of local history. We are honored to have been chosen to restore the exterior of a 134-year-old house, a beloved staple in the community.

This historic home, with its rich architectural details and deep roots, has stood the test of time. Over the years, it has become more than just a residence; it’s a symbol of the neighborhood’s heritage. Restoring the house’s exterior meant not only revitalizing its appearance but also ensuring that its historical charm and character remained intact for future generations to appreciate.

Our team carefully restored the home’s original features, preserving its unique craftsmanship while applying modern techniques to ensure durability and longevity. Every brushstroke was guided by the understanding that this wasn’t just a project—it was a responsibility to honor the past.

We are incredibly proud to be part of this important restoration, helping to bring new life to a home that carries so much history and significance for the community. At Loveridge Painting, we’re more than just painters—we’re stewards of tradition, and it’s a privilege to help restore the beauty of such timeless landmarks.

If you have a historic property in need of care, trust Loveridge Painting to preserve your legacy with the respect and expertise it deserves.

Loveridge Painting Gives Back: Volunteering for Samaritan House
By Andrew Caston 10 Sep, 2024
At Loveridge Painting, we believe in the power of community and the importance of giving back. That's why we were proud to take part in a special project on Saturday, where our team, alongside other local businesses, volunteered to paint the interior of the new Samaritan House at Paul’s House homeless shelter in downtown Ashtabula. Located in the former Paul’s House building on Park Avenue, the shelter is undergoing renovations to offer more space and improved services for those in need. After a conversation between our very own Anthony Loveridge and Samaritan House Executive Director Steve Sargent, the idea for a community-driven workday came to life. With the help of Propertico Properties, J & C Painting, and Pizzi Flooring, we united to donate our time and expertise. We dubbed the event the "Painting Olympics," with a goal to transform 90% of the building in just one day. While we managed to cover most of the space, finishing touches in a few rooms will be completed soon. The new shelter will be called Samaritan House at Paul’s House, named in honor of Paul Brickman, who spent years helping children through Signature Health. Once finished, the facility will provide space for more residents and offer educational opportunities to support the homeless community in Ashtabula County. We are grateful to have been part of such a meaningful project that will make a lasting difference for those in need. At Loveridge Painting, we are always looking for ways to make our community a better place. Story in the Star Beacon
