At Loveridge Painting, we believe in the power of community and the importance of giving back. That's why we were proud to take part in a special project on Saturday, where our team, alongside other local businesses, volunteered to paint the interior of the new Samaritan House at Paul’s House homeless shelter in downtown Ashtabula. Located in the former Paul’s House building on Park Avenue, the shelter is undergoing renovations to offer more space and improved services for those in need. After a conversation between our very own Anthony Loveridge and Samaritan House Executive Director Steve Sargent, the idea for a community-driven workday came to life. With the help of Propertico Properties, J & C Painting, and Pizzi Flooring, we united to donate our time and expertise. We dubbed the event the "Painting Olympics," with a goal to transform 90% of the building in just one day. While we managed to cover most of the space, finishing touches in a few rooms will be completed soon. The new shelter will be called Samaritan House at Paul’s House, named in honor of Paul Brickman, who spent years helping children through Signature Health. Once finished, the facility will provide space for more residents and offer educational opportunities to support the homeless community in Ashtabula County. We are grateful to have been part of such a meaningful project that will make a lasting difference for those in need.
